The Adventure Park at Sandy Spring

Aerial Adventure Forest
For a literally lofty birthday party, these outdoor high ropes courses and zip lines let kids explore the trees. They’ll get a dose of nature while working on problem-solving skills and teamwork in this outdoor adventure that can be as easy or as challenging as you want. Ages 5 and up.

The Labyrinth
The Labyrinth is a separate structure designed to appeal specifically to the imaginations and abilities of five to 10-year-olds. It is like a super playground that will allow children to let loose their energy and imagination in a safe environment. It is only available for pre-arranged group reservations and can hold up to 24 participants.

It is recommended that you book ahead of time as the park is very popular. During peak season there are often long lines to check in and get harnessed up. There are also many other activities available at the park such as Monkey Grove where kids can climb trees in their own way using special grips on their shoes, and the new Lab, which is a pole-based climbing structure that is only available to private groups and parties ages 7 and up. While not your typical adventure park these treetop obstacle courses and climbing towers are a great option for outdoor team building and family fun. These parks typically feature multiple trails with different tiers based on difficulty and offer Tarzan swings, rope ladders, and bungee jumping platforms.
Located at the Salamander Resort and Spa this park features two suspension sky bridges, five zip lines with various lengths, and an extensive treetop obstacle course. They also have a Kiddo Zip Line for kids ages four and up and a moonlight canopy tour that utilizes the light from the full moon.
The largest aerial adventure park in North America, RYZE has something for everyone. This park features children and adult-specific courses, lit-up night climbing, and special once-a-month events. Their courses include a variety of obstacles like ladders, balance beams, rolling elements, and more. They even have a Giant Swing that gives visitors a chance to feel two Gs of force!
Zip Lines
The Adventure Park at Sandy Springs is the largest man-made outdoor climbing and zip line course in the world. It consists of 13 trails with 6 levels of difficulty which include climbing, zip lines, and combinations of challenges such as challenge bridges. The main platform is similar to the top of a ski mountain and from there, 13 trails branch off into the trees. These trails have 29 zip lines and nearly 200 challenge bridges between them. The trails are color coded ranging from purple, the easiest to double black diamond, which is the hardest.
Day and night passes are available for this fully immersive high ropes adventure experience on the 140-acre campus of Sandy Spring Friends School. Children and adults of all ages get their adrenaline pumping, test their limits and see themselves improving with each challenge.
