Adventure Playground

Adventure Playground is a 7-acre playground offering various themed areas, large climbing structures and 2 tot lots. The playground is located in South Germantown Recreational Park, a 695-acre park.

The playground’s main attraction is a massive castle with towers and lookouts, multiple slides, swinging bridges and climbing structures. Kids of all ages will enjoy playing here! Read on for some ideas.

Playground Equipment

Located in the complex of the South Germantown Recreational Park, Adventure Playground Germantown MD is a huge playground that has lots of fun climbing structures. The equipment is clean and sturdy.

This playground is a bit bigger than some of the others we’ve seen, so be prepared for a lot of little kids to run around and play at once. There are multiple slides, towers, and swings as well as cool climbing structures that C really enjoyed.

There’s also a splash area that comes on in the warmer months. It has a one of a kind 280-jet water maze, cave with a waterfall, bucket drops, slide and spraying animals! Picnic shelters are nearby, too. You can reserve them through the Park Permits office. If you’re visiting in the summer, make sure to pack sunscreen!

Climbing Structures

Located inside South Germantown Recreational Park, this 7 acre creative playground boasts themed settings and large climbing structures. The star of the show is undoubtedly the castle shaped main attraction which houses a surprisingly impressive array of slides, towers and lookouts and a few swings that kids will find hard to put down. The park also features a plethora of other amenities such as a splash park, mini golf, basketball courts, soccer fields and an indoor water park which is a rare sight in the city.

Despite being located in a suburb, this playground was a blast to play on and is definitely on our list of places to visit next time we’re in the area. The best part is that the equipment is clean and sturdy and there’s plenty of room to roam. The park is a good fit for families with children of all ages and abilities. Browse around this site.

Climbing Walls

The large and impressive climbing wall at Adventure Playground is not to be missed. The park is home to a number of fun and engaging activities for kids of all ages including a splash park, indoor swim center and mini golf. The climbing aficiondo is the icing on the cake and the best part is that it’s free! There’s also a large tot lot and a separate section dedicated to the plethora of slides and towers. It’s a 7-acre playground with many themed areas and some of the most impressive equipment on the market. It is a great place to have some family fun and let the little ones run wild. The above ground nerds can have their pick of twenty-four athletic fields that include soccer and artificial turf fields along with the Miracle Field, a state-of-the-art lighted basketball court.

Swings

If your child is a big fan of the swing, you will be happy to hear that Adventure Playground Germantown MD has many different types. They include traditional swings, a disc swing and a “sound garden” that features xylophones and drums for music-making.

The playground also has a large castle for kids to climb and play on, with multiple slides, rope bridges and towers. It is sure to be a hit with any kid.

The playground also has several other areas that are a little different than the castle. One area is themed for woodlands and has two saucer swings, abstract benches and a large bulldozer. Another is a music themed area that has five instrument stations with colorful murals. There is also a pirate ship playground with a fast slide and mini rock wall.

Restrooms

The restrooms at Adventure Playground Germantown MD are clean, well-lit, and conveniently located near the park entrance. Men’s and women’s bathrooms are available. There’s also a baby changing station. Picnic shelters are nearby and accessible if needed. The playground’s theme is based around a castle that kids can climb on and slide down. Beyond the main castle is a pirate ship playground with tunnels and smaller slides. There’s also a splash park with a 280-jet water maze, cave, waterfall, slide, bucket drops and spraying animals. It’s a great place to cool off during the warmer months!
